Human Resources Specialist (Temporary Contract)

  • Location: Remote (Central or Eastern Time Zones Preferred)
  • Duration: 2–3 months

What You’ll Do

  • Assist People Service Coordinators with core HR processes, including recruiting, onboarding, and data management.
  • Maintain and update the HR knowledge database to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Partner with HRIS to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide administrative support across recruitment, onboarding, learning, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvements and standardization initiatives.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay aligned with HR best practices.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of Human Resource experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Familiarity with union environments, accounting, analytics, audit, governance, or HR benefits is advantageous.

Work Environment

  • Remote role with standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (CT/ET).
  • Candidates local to Decatur, IL may choose to work on-site.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
