Job Description


Lace Lithography is developing revolutionary chip lithography technology to dramatically improve chip performance. We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team in Barcelona, focusing on coordinating the efforts and ensuring timely delivery from our Instrument Modeling and Mask Design squads.


Your Job


As a Technical Project Manager, you'll be key to ensuring the smooth operation and timely completion of critical projects within our Instrument Modeling and Mask Design teams. You'll be responsible for organizing the teams' work, meticulously tracking milestones, and ensuring seamless communication with our hardware teams. Your focus will be on driving project execution to meet the company's main milestones, ensuring our groundbreaking technology progresses efficiently.


Concretely, we expect you to:

  • Organize the workflows for both the Instrument Modeling and Mask Design squads
  • Develop and track project timelines while keeping an agile mindset, ensuring all phases are aligned with the company's overall strategic objectives and main milestones.
  • Implement and refine project management best practices within a fast-paced R&D environment.
  • Orchestrate and streamline communication channels between the Instrument Modeling and Mask Design teams and our hardware teams, ensuring all technical requirements and interdependencies are clearly understood and addressed.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential roadblocks or delays, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and successfully feed into the main milestones of Lace Lithography, contributing directly to the advancement of our core technology.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making between the squads and hardware teams to resolve challenges and ensure integrated solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project plans, progress, technical specifications, and key decisions.
  • Report regularly on project status to stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on progress, risks, and achievements. Work closely with the CTO of the company in matters of prioritization and strategy.

Qualifications/Experience


Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A PHD in a related field will also be strongly valued.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management within a complex R&D, engineering, or high-tech environment. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects involving highly technical teams, particularly in areas related to physics, modeling, simulation, or complex software development.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable project plans and communicate them effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with risk management, stakeholder management, and change management.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com).
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the semiconductor, optics, quantum technology, or related industries is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of advanced physics concepts such as laser cooling, atom manipulation, or optimization algorithms is a significant plus.
  • Experience working with both hardware and software development teams.
