Job Description


Are you skilled in user research, using diverse methods to uncover insights and optimise workflows, ensuring user needs are met from concept to implementation? Have a look, this role might be for you!

Here’s what the job entails
You will lead user research and design impactful user journeys while driving initiatives to rationalise and automate tools and processes. Your responsibilities include identifying automation opportunities, rethinking workflows, and translating insights into solutions that streamline operations and foster innovation. More specifically, your responsibilities will encompass the following:
  • lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery research to effective problem framing, ideation, co-creation, prototyping, and user testing.
  • analyse and rethink existing processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains
  • communicate research findings, tests, designs, and ideas in a narrative style throughout the entire process
  • contribute to the growth of our product organisation by improving design processes and mentoring other team members
  • be comfortable engaging with customers and stakeholders daily, and eager to participate in healthy discussions to reach effective solutions.


Meet the team
You will be part of the Short-Term Trading Technology team, where you will collaborate closely with the product manager, developers, and other key stakeholders. The team is committed to enabling seamless participation and operational excellence in both European intraday and US power markets. We achieve this by developing and maintaining robust, scalable trading solutions and fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration to proactively address evolving business requirements. Our team is dedicated to supporting innovation and growth, ensuring our technological capabilities remain at the forefront of industry standards.

We imagine that you are a team-oriented individual who values cross-team collaboration but also possess the drive and discipline to work independently on your responsibilities. You embrace a user-centric design mindset, allowing you to deeply understand and empathize with users.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:
  • have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position where you defined user experiences and journeys
  • possess a portfolio showcasing the design impact on different products
  • are proficient in using various tools and methodologies to conduct research
  • can articulate design decisions through clear, empathetic communication
  • have experience testing and validating designs using qualitative and quantitative methods.


Please note that prior knowledge of the energy sector is not required for this role.
