Senior End-User Computing Engineer
📍 Remote – LATAM | Contract | Full-Time
About the Role
Our client is looking for a Senior End-User Computing Engineers to join a global IT infrastructure team, providing Tier 2/Tier 3 support.
This is a hands-on technical position responsible for managing and supporting endpoint devices, VDI environments (AWS Workspaces), OS patching, and software deployment through modern endpoint management and security tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for end-user computing environments, ensuring system stability and security.
- Manage software deployment, OS patching, GPO management, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Support VDI infrastructure with a focus on AWS Workspaces configuration, migration, and optimization.
- Participate in the device lifecycle management process for Amazon Thin Clients and other supported endpoints.
- Maintain endpoint security posture using tools such as Tanium, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Halcyon, and DeepInstinct.
- Collaborate with global IT teams to manage endpoints across regions (US, Europe, APAC).
- Contribute to image creation and maintenance for standard endpoint builds (Windows 10/11, macOS).
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support global operations and respond to critical issues.
- Coordinate with infrastructure and application teams for cross-functional problem resolution.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in End-User Computing (EUC) or Desktop Engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Tanium (patching, software deployment, Enforce modules) or similar tools.
- Experience with VDI technologies, preferably AWS Workspaces.
- Solid knowledge of Windows 10/11 and macOS administration.
- Experience managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with endpoint security tools such as Symantec, Halcyon, DeepInstinct, etc.
- Proven ability to perform advanced OS and software troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills in English (B2).
- Availability to work EST hours and participate in on-call rotations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tanium Certification (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience working in global environments with distributed teams.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
- Familiarity with Okta and identity management (for GPO-level interaction only).
