About the Opportunity:

The organization is a healthcare advocacy marketplace that connects patients and families with experts who assist them in understanding and managing their personal health. Using proprietary technology, the program matches individuals with experienced advocates to help navigate the complexities of the U.S. healthcare system. This opportunity is for a Head of Lifecycle, responsible for leading and optimizing communications and engagement strategies throughout the patient and advocate journey.


Responsibilities:

• Build and lead a lifecycle marketing and retention team, including 2 Lifecycle Associates and 1 Lifecycle Manager.

• Oversee and optimize the patient lifecycle, covering acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention.

• Design, launch, and analyze multi-channel lifecycle programs to drive activation, conversion, and satisfaction.

• Develop and manage experimentation frameworks for lifecycle initiatives, from hypothesis to measurement.

• Collaborate with Product, Data, and Operations to ensure consistent and scalable lifecycle efforts.

• Manage and maintain automation workflows in Customer.io, applying segmentation, conditional logic, and personalization.

• Ensure quality and compliance in communications, including regulatory adherence and brand alignment.

• Use performance data to refine targeting, creative, and communication cadence.

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in lifecycle marketing and CRM.

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve patient and advocate experience through new strategies and technology.


Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing, ideally with team management experience.

• Demonstrated success in scaling multi-channel lifecycle programs with measurable business results.

• Expertise in CRM platforms such as Customer.io, Braze, Iterable, or similar, including use of Liquid or conditional logic.

• Strong knowledge of A/B testing, experimentation design, and data-driven decision-making.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric campaigns.

• Proficiency in data analysis and optimization, using dashboards or reports for insights.

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.

• Ability to make prompt, sound decisions in fast-paced environments.

• Preferred: experience in healthcare, fintech, other regulated industries, a 3-sided marketplace, or startup environments.

• Applicants must be based in the United States.
