🎯 Key Responsibilities- Monitor security systems, logs, and alerts to detect potential threats
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analyses
- Implement and maintain security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls)
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and engineering teams to improve security posture
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Support security audits, compliance checks, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare security reports and incident documentation
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff
- Stay current with cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies
- 2–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or a related role
- Strong understanding of network, system, and application security
- Experience with security tools and platforms (SIEM, vulnerability scanners, EDR)
- Knowledge of cloud security practices (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)
- Strong analytical and incident response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP are a plus
- Fluent in English
- Must be based in Australia with legal right to work full-time
