About the Role (Remote, Full-time)
This is a full-time remote position for an Information Security Specialist. The individual in this role will be responsible for analyzing, implementing, and maintaining information security strategies and systems to secure company data, applications, and networks.
Key responsibilities include monitoring cybersecurity threats, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, conducting risk assessments, and implementing security protocols to safeguard sensitive information. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the specialist will oversee the identification and remediation of vulnerabilities, provide guidance on industry best practices, and contribute to achieving the organization's security objectives.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Application Security and Network Security
- Expertise in Cybersecurity and Information Security Management
- Knowledge of Data Privacy standards and practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, or ISO 27001 is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, are advantageous
