The Role 🎯

We are looking for a QA Tester & Support Specialist with strong experience in WordPress to help us improve the quality of our deliveries and provide first-level support to our users. You will play a central role in our development workflow, ensuring that all features, bug fixes, and releases meet the highest standards before going live.

This role sits at the crossroads of QA, product, support, and development, and requires excellent communication, organisational skills, and a deep understanding of WordPress and agile methodologies.


1. Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Review User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Definition of Done before development begins.
  • Perform manual testing of features, bug fixes, and new releases on staging environments.
  • Validate behavior, UX, performance, and regression checks across devices.
  • Identify, reproduce, and document bugs clearly in Jira.
  • Ensure all stories meet the DoD before they move to “Ready for Release”.
  • Collaborate closely with PMs, POs, Developers, and the Scrum Master to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies where QA input is required.

2. Support & Bug Management

  • Handle incoming support requests from customers (Helpdesk).
  • Qualify issues, assess their impact, and prioritise them based on severity.
  • Reproduce bugs, collect technical details, and create clean Jira tickets for developers.
  • Act as the first line of investigation to reduce dev interruptions.
  • Follow up on reported issues until full resolution.
  • Maintain structured communication with users about ticket status and next steps.

3. Collaboration & Process

  • Work closely with PM/PO/Scrum Master to improve workflow, QA processes, and delivery quality.
  • Be the QA reference for the team and help enforce standards and consistency.
  • Ensure that WordPress-specific behaviors (plugins, themes, custom features) are validated properly.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA checklists, templates, and testing practices.


Required Skills & Experience 🌟

  • Solid knowledge of WordPress (admin, themes, plugins, custom content types).
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in QA testing or support.
  • Familiar with agile methodologies (Scrum, sprints, ceremonies).
  • Strong experience with Jira and structured bug reporting.
  • Ability to reproduce issues, test systematically, and communicate clearly with technical teams.
  • Good understanding of UX, responsive behavior, browser testing, and basic debugging.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with PMs, POs, developers, and business teams.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

  • Experience with WordPress development concepts (hooks, templates, WP queries).
