This role is offered on a full in-studio basis or a hybrid basis (minimum 3 days per week in the studio). We can provide a comprehensive relocation support package as part of any offer, should you need to relocate.
About This Role
We’re looking for a Graduate Python TD with solid Python knowledge to join our Pipeline team. In this role, you’ll support the development and maintenance of Frontier’s art tools and production pipelines. Working under the guidance of, and with mentoring from, senior team members, you’ll deliver features, resolve pipeline issues, and learn best practices in collaborative software development within a games studio environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting in maintaining and extending existing Python-based tools and pipelines
- Contributing to feature implementations under guidance
- Supporting artists and technical artists by triaging and escalating issues
- Writing clear, well-documented code following established standards
- Participating in code reviews to learn and improve coding practices.
- Demonstrable programming experience through asset creation or tool development (which may be through academic or personal projects)
- Solid Python programming knowledge (which may be through academic or personal projects)
- Some exposure to 3D software (one or more of Maya, Blender, Houdini, etc.).
- Familiarity with version control (Git, Perforce, etc.).
- Exposure to software development best practices (testing, CI/CD).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Willingness to learn from feedback and mentoring
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Basic knowledge of PyQt/PySide would be beneficial.
