The Role
We’re seeking a world-class Creative Director to build, lead, and elevate Tierra’s creative department. This role owns the creative engine that powers client performance by overseeing creative strategists, graphic designers, and video editors while also serving as the creative lead for key accounts.
This role blends leadership with hands-on creative strategy, and demands deep performance-driven creative judgment, expert understanding of ad platforms, strong operational thinking, and the ability to consistently push creative output to the highest possible standard.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the creative department and manage creative strategists, graphic designers, and video editors to ensure elite creative output
- Serve as a hands-on creative strategist for key accounts by developing concepts, angles, hooks, briefs, and performance-driven creative direction
- Establish and enforce Tierra’s creative infrastructure by defining and maintaining standards, quality assurance protocols, workflows, tools, and templates
- Manage external resources that support creative production including vendors, contractors, and other production partners
- Oversee the creative department’s financial performance by managing costs and ensuring efficient operations within P&L targets
- Identify creative production bottlenecks and design solutions that improve speed, efficiency, and output quality
- Guide creative ideation sessions and ensure concepts are grounded in audience psychology, platform best practices, and performance data
- Analyze creative performance data, extract insights, and drive ongoing iteration cycles across accounts
- Maintain a shared creative library and ensure it is consistently updated, organized, and accessible for the full creative team
- Develop the creative team through mentorship, structured feedback, performance reviews, and skill development
- Foster a culture of accountability, experimentation, and innovation across the creative organization
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviews and evaluations to ensure Tierra hires elite creative talent across key roles
What You Bring
- A proven track record leading high-performing creative teams within a performance marketing or direct-response environment
- Mastery of performance-driven ad creative strategy across Meta and Google; experience with Axon or AppLovin is a strong plus
- Deep understanding of the psychology behind hooks, angles, and storytelling that drive measurable outcomes
- Exceptional operational discipline with the ability to architect scalable creative systems, pipelines, and processes
- Ability to interpret creative performance data with precision and convert insights into actionable creative direction
- Demonstrated success mentoring, elevating, and holding creative talent to high-performance benchmarks
- Strong, authoritative communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams at a strategic level
- High personal ownership, decisiveness, and the ability to excel in a fast-moving, performance-obsessed environment
