Role Overview
We are seeking a Smart Contract Developer to design, build, and maintain secure and efficient blockchain components for client-focused Web3 initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement on-chain logic, ensure production-grade contract quality, and contribute to innovative decentralized solutions aligned with client marketing and product goals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a creative, fast-paced agency environment and enjoys delivering high-impact blockchain systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and deploy smart contracts using Solidity or other EVM-compatible languages
Build and enhance on-chain components for client Web3 projects
Integrate smart contracts with backend and frontend systems via Web3 libraries
Conduct code reviews and ensure contract-level security, gas efficiency, and reliability
Troubleshoot and maintain deployed contracts, including upgrades and optimizations
Collaborate with designers, marketers, and developers on Web3 product initiatives
Stay current with blockchain industry trends, new tooling, and emerging best practices
Required Qualifications
- Based in Germany (remote work permitted)
- 2+ years of experience in blockchain or smart contract development
- Strong proficiency in Solidity and EVM-based development
- Experience working with Hardhat, Foundry, Truffle, or similar frameworks
- Understanding of decentralized architectures, token standards, and smart contract security
- Experience integrating contracts with Web3 tools (ethers.js, web3.js, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup
Preferred Experience
- Experience delivering Web3 solutions for clients or agencies
- Familiarity with marketing-oriented Web3 use cases (tokenized engagement, digital identity, loyalty systems, etc.)
- Knowledge of multi-chain or Layer 2 environments
- Contributions to open-source blockchain projects
Compensation & Benefits
- EUR 75,000 – 105,000 per year, depending on experience
