Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled WMS Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team. This position plays a critical role in supporting Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions across all North American affiliates.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments and shifts.
This position does require travel across the US, Mexico and Canada. Expect 10 to 15% travel dependent on projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, implement, and support WMS functions across multiple facilities.
- Integrate WMS with external systems including AGVs, ASRS, and other automation platforms.
- Support inventory control, material handling, and manufacturing system development.
- Collect and analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist in optimizing process flows, designing plant layouts, and coordinating facility moves.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to support warehouse, logistics, and production operations.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration among leadership, associates, and support groups.
- Maintain a consistent presence in work areas to assess conditions and provide frontline support.
- Provide support across multiple shifts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- 2-5+ year's experience in operations and system development.
- Working knowledge of inventory systems such as CIGMA and Softeon WMS.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Softeon WMS.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in manufacturing or logistics environments.
- Familiarity with industrial automation systems (AGV, ASRS).
- Proficient in the Spanish language
