We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee complex technical initiatives within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This role involves providing strategic oversight across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with development lifecycles, and driving consistency in governance and execution. The successful candidate will serve as a senior advisor for project management processes, mentor project managers, and coordinate cross-agency and vendor efforts. Accountabilities

  • The Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring excellence across all phases of project delivery, including planning, execution, and quality assurance. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and enforcing SDLC compliance, ensuring all project milestones, quality standards, and readiness criteria are met.
  • Establishing and maintaining PMO processes, templates, governance structures, and documentation standards.
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of technical projects, proactively addressing risks, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Providing mentorship and quality oversight for project managers’ deliverables and documentation.
  • Serving as the main escalation point for risks, issues, and stakeholder concerns.
  • Driving consistent communication and coordination between vendors, internal teams, and partner agencies.
  • Supporting change management initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across the PMO.
  • Requirements:
  • Candidates should possess extensive project management experience, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key qualifications include:
  • 10+ years of progressive project or program management experience in complex technical environments.
  • Deep expertise in SDLC practices, system integrations, and large-scale project governance. Public sector or eligibility systems experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, JIRA, and SharePoint.
  • PMP certification required or the ability to complete within one year of hire.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, detail-oriented, and process-driven capabilities.
  • Ability to anticipate risks and gaps and implement proactive solutions.
