Quality Assurance Analyst (Fully Remote Role)


Introduction

The Quality Assurance Analyst supports Snowbird Agility’s mission to transform federal service delivery. This role reinforces operational excellence, agility, and high-quality delivery across client programs.


Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for providing technical expertise, supporting mission-critical delivery, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance Snowbird’s objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

- Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and defect tracking.

- Ensure compliance with quality standards and federal requirements.

- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.

- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to verify requirements.

- Document findings, recommend improvements, and validate fixes.

Secondary Responsibilities

- Contribute to Snowbird operational excellence and continuous improvement.

- Support documentation, reporting, and cross-team communication.

- Participate in internal training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing activities.


Desired Skillset

- Familiarity with:

  • Agile/Scrum processes
  • Test management tools: Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, Azure DevOps, qTest, etc.
  • Defect tracking tools: Jira, Bugzilla, ServiceNow, etc.

- Entry-level understanding of the following:

  • QA methodologies (black-box, white-box, gray-box testing)
  • Test case design & execution
  • Defect identification, reporting, and tracking
  • Regression, smoke, functional, integration, and UAT testing
  • Root cause analysis & risk-based testing

- Automation exposure (depending on role):

  • Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman/Newman, PyTest, JUnit, TestNG
  • API testing: Postman, Swagger, REST/SOAP concepts
  • SQL/database skills (select queries, joins, data validation)
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)


Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

- 3–7 years of relevant professional experience.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Federal contracting experience preferred.

- Occasional travel up to 10%.
