Location: Remote (not available to residents of NY, CA, IL, or CO)

Employment Type: Direct-Hire (contract option available)

Schedule: Must be flexible—team provides 24/7 support across rotating shifts


About Opportunity


Our client is expanding its service capabilities and building a new, fully remote Frontline Automation Support team to provide 24/7 support for DeltaV and MES systems across the Southeast. As a Frontline Automation Support Engineer, you’ll work in a hands-on, high-impact role supporting production for customers in industries such as Chemical, Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences, Power & Utilities, Food & Beverage, and Pulp & Paper.

You’ll be responsible for keeping manufacturing operations running—remotely troubleshooting DeltaV/MES systems, supporting production teams, and helping maintain batch recipe performance and reliability.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide remote automation support for DeltaV and MES systems across assigned shifts (including participation in 24/7 coverage rotation).
  • Troubleshoot, modify, and optimize DeltaV and MES batch recipes to support production continuity.
  • Work closely with customer operations teams to diagnose issues, minimize downtime, and ensure compliance with regulated environments.
  • Document system issues, updates, and resolutions while maintaining high standards of reliability and communication.
  • Collaborate with other Automation Engineers to drive improvements, share insights, and ensure consistent customer support.


Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen with a valid driver’s license
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering/Science
  • OR 3+ years’ experience as an operator in a DeltaV-controlled manufacturing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
  • Highly organized, reliable, customer-focused
  • MS Office proficiency


Preferred Experience

  • 1+ years of hands-on DeltaV automation experience
  • Experience with additional DCS/PLC platforms
  • Knowledge of ISA S88
  • Background in regulated/validated manufacturing environments
  • Windows Server 2016/2019 + network troubleshooting skills
