Job Description
Cybersecurity Lead – Remote / US-based
Are you passionate about building and owning a robust cybersecurity posture across a dynamic, cloud‑centric environment? We’re looking for a Cybersecurity Lead to drive our security strategy, architecture, and operations — safeguarding critical infrastructure, applications, and data assets across the organisation.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain the enterprise cybersecurity roadmap, aligned with business goals, operational needs, and compliance requirements (e.g. NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
- Design, implement, and manage security architecture across cloud (Azure, GCP, hybrid) and on‑prem environments; lead vulnerability management, penetration testing coordination, and incident response.
- Partner with cross-functional teams — DevSecOps, Network Engineering, BI & Data — to embed security in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure deployments, data governance, and API/app integrations.
- Evaluate and manage third‑party security vendors, tools, and managed‑services providers to ensure comprehensive protection.
- Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments, audits, and control testing; drive adoption of Zero Trust, IAM best practices, and secure data governance.
- Prepare and present security posture reports, risk dashboards and compliance updates to senior leadership and governance committees.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including architecture, risk management or security operations.
- Strong working knowledge of cloud security (Azure, GCP), network security, DevSecOps practices, SIEM, EDR, IAM, and vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
Preferred:
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP or equivalent.
- Experience with data‑platform security architectures (e.g. Lakehouse / data‑lake security), API security, and secure application integration.
- Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical security posture into business‑oriented recommendations.
- Self-driven, high accountability, and ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
What You’ll Get
- Competitive base salary (plus performance-based bonus) reflecting experience and impact.
- Fully remote role.
- Opportunity to shape and execute security strategy at enterprise level; influence architecture, policy, and operations.
- Collaboration with cross-functional engineering, data, and leadership teams; ability to drive real change and growth.
