Job Description


This is a fully remote role, open to candidates based within GMT+7 to GMT+9 time zones. Please note that we do not provide relocation or sponsorship for work visas in Singapore or any other country. Applicants should already hold valid work authorization in their current country of residence and be excited to join a remote-first, regional tech team.

About the Role

We’re hiring an Engineering Manager to lead our software engineering team, drive reliable delivery, and raise technical standards. You will mentor engineers, own delivery cadence, manage vendor relationships, and act as the communication bridge between engineering and leadership. This role offers high visibility, direct senior leadership collaboration, and the opportunity to establish engineering practices that scale.


What You’ll Do

People & Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and mentor engineers through regular 1:1s and career development plans.
  • Build a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture.
  • Partner with leadership on hiring, interviewing, and onboarding.

Delivery & Execution

  • Own sprint planning, capacity allocation, and ticket grooming.
  • Ensure delivery predictability, remove blockers, and coordinate cross-team dependencies.
  • Maintain balance between feature delivery and technical improvements (tech debt, reliability).

Technical & Operational Oversight

  • Manage relationships with tech vendors and ensure service-level expectations are met.
  • Drive system reliability, performance, and scalability initiatives.
  • Define and track long-term engineering goals and metrics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Provide clear technical context and alignment between Product, Design, and Management.
  • Represent engineering in leadership discussions and help translate business priorities into delivery plans.


What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years in an engineering leadership role (Engineering Manager, Team Lead, or similar).
  • Strong people management and coaching experience, especially with remote teams.
  • Hands-on software engineering background with the ability to participate in technical discussions.
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure concepts (ECS, RDS or equivalent).
  • Experience working with Agile processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and English communication skills.
  • Able to think strategically while delivering short-term results.
  • Prior startup experience or scaling product teams is a plus.
  • Experience with backend (Python/Django) and frontend (React) stacks is a plus.
  • Experience managing vendor contracts and SLAs is a plus.
