Job Description
Looking for a Node.js Backend Developer - (Fully Remote)
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express
- Create secure, scalable REST APIs (routing, middleware, validation, error handling)
- Handle async operations cleanly (Promises/async/await)
- Design and optimize relational databases (schema, normalization, indexing, data modeling)
- Write and tune advanced SQL for complex logic and performance
- Ensure security, scalability, and data integrity
- Collaborate remotely with product/engineering and participate in code reviews
Required skills
- Strong Node.js + Express experience in production
- Strong API development skills (REST, middleware patterns, security best practices)
- Strong RDBMS fundamentals (schema design, normalization, indexing)
- Advanced SQL + performance tuning experience
Nice to have
- PostgreSQL/MySQL
- JWT/OAuth, Docker, CI/CD, cloud exposure
