We’re hiring on behalf of a private equity-backed leader in waste diversion and recycling solutions, serving some of the world’s most iconic Food & Beverage brands to translate sustainability into measurable business results.

They’ve built a strong reputation for operational excellence and employee experience, and now they’re looking for a Payroll Manager to lead and optimize payroll operations across multiple states.

About You

  • You have extensive experience managing multistate payroll processes and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • You’re comfortable acting as the go-to expert for payroll-related questions and collaborating with HR and Finance teams.
  • You have hands-on experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity experience strongly preferred).
  • You thrive in environments where accuracy, confidentiality, and process improvement are key.
  • Bonus: Experience with international payroll (Canada) and strong proficiency in Excel.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead and oversee payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams on benefits integration and financial reporting.
  • Manage payroll tax reporting, filings, audits, and year-end activities (W-2, 1099).
  • Optimize payroll systems and processes, leveraging technology for efficiency.
  • Provide leadership with payroll insights and analytics to support business decisions.
