Marketing Manager - Boatseekr

Boatseekr is revolutionizing boat discovery across Australia, New Zealand and across the globe through our proprietary visual search technology and disruptive B2B offering. 

 

We're solving the fundamental problem in boat sales: Connecting buyers who know what they want a boat to look like, but don't know how to find the best boat for their needs through an disruptive and organic digital experience.

The Role: Dual-Market, Dual-Audience Marketing  

 

We're seeking an entrepreneurial Marketing Manager who can own and execute our comprehensive growth marketing strategy across both Australian and New Zealand markets. This is a unique B2B and B2C marketing role where you'll drive growth on two fronts simultaneously.

 

 

Location: Remote - Work from home anywhere in Australia or New Zealand 

 

Reports to: CEO 

 

Team: Initially individual contributor, with hiring influence as we scale 

 

Compensation: NZD $90 K-100 K p/a + Superannuation 

 

Travel: 10-15 days annually for boat shows and industry events across ANZ

  • Comprehensive Review of the Current Marketing Plan
  • On the tools: Comfortable directly using key digital marketing tools such as EDMs, AdWords, Meta, CRM, Socials & SEO.

Partnerships 

  • Execute partnership marketing for strategic brand partnerships 
  • Develop and manage partner content and product placement campaigns 

 

Analytics & Optimization  

 

  • Set up comprehensive tracking across all marketing channels and both markets 
  • Monitor KPIs with regional breakdowns 
  • Track B2B vs B2C performance metrics separately: 
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for campaign optimization by market and audience 
  • Implement attribution modelling to understand customer journey for both buyers and brokers 
  • Report on marketing ROI and contribution to business revenue by market segment 

 

Required Qualifications 

 

Essential 

 

  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience with demonstrated success in lead generation 
  • Proven track record managing $100K+ annual marketing budgets with clear ROI 
  • Expert-level knowledge of Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and analytics platforms 
  • Strong SEO skills with experience ranking content for competitive keywords 
  • Content creation ability: Excellent writing skills for blogs, ads, emails, social media 
  • Data-driven mindset: Comfort with analytics, A/B testing, and performance optimization 
  • Self-starter mentality: Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities 
  • Results orientation: Track record of meeting/exceeding lead generation and revenue targets 

 

Highly Desirable 

 

  • B2B and B2C marketing experience: Demonstrated success marketing to both businesses and consumers simultaneously 
  • Experience in marketplace or two-sided platform marketing  
  • Background in dual-market operations across Australia and New Zealand 
  • Knowledge of the marine industry, boating, automotive or recreational vehicles sector in Australia and/or New Zealand 
  • Understanding of Australian and New Zealand markets including cultural nuances, regional differences, and competitive landscapes 
  • Experience with startup or high-growth environment 
  • Experience with partnership marketing and co-branding campaigns 
  • Remote work experience: Proven ability to work independently and manage projects remotely

  • Personal interest in boating, fishing, or marine activities in Australia or New Zealand 
  • Previous experience at a marketplace or classifieds platform 
  • Network within ANZ marine industry (brokers, manufacturers, media) in either or both markets 
  • Experience working across Australian and New Zealand time zones 
  • Growth hacking experience with creative acquisition strategies 
  • Technical skills in HTML/CSS for landing page optimization 
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms 
  • Understanding of regional SEO and multi-market campaigns
