Streaming Platform Admin (Mobile, TV & Web App Developer)(Independent contractor): Interplanetary Television (Interplanetary.tv), a cutting-edge Freemium Live FAST and SVOD streaming platform focused on science, tech, and space content, seeks a skilled OTT FAST & SVOD Streaming Platform Admin (Mobile, TV & Web App Developer) for fully remote freelance work. Modeled after leaders like Pluto TV, Tubi, and Netflix, we are building a platform aiming for 150 million subscribers by 2030. Join our team to design, deploy, manage, and scale high-quality web and mobile apps delivering seamless video streaming across devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and deploy responsive OTT web, mobile, and TV apps using PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, MySQL, React.js, Node.js, Python (Flask/TensorFlow), and WordPress plugins (WPStream, VdoCipher, MemberPress, WooCommerce Subscriptions). Migrate content from staging to live sites using the Streamit theme, ensuring 24/7 platform monitoring in coordinated shifts.
- Oversee full development lifecycle including code reviews, third-party integrations (Stripe, PayPal), security compliance (GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS), multi-tier membership system (3 to 8 levels), content filtering, and B2C/B2B technical support. Implement disaster recovery, root cause analysis, and proactive scaling strategies to support platform growth.
- Provide Level 2 technical support, mentor junior developers, engage in KPI tracking with focus on subscriber growth and platform performance, and report progress via Telegram and Zoom calls regularly. Ensure all work complies with IP ownership as work-for-hire under company policy.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year proven freelance experience working with OTT, FAST, or SVOD streaming platforms (portfolio required).
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA/BTech) from a recognized institution (verification required).
- Strong expertise in full-stack development for streaming services, including frontend/backend technologies, 24/7 platform monitoring, and tools such as REST API, AWS, Datadog.
- Experience with WordPress development and cybersecurity basics.
- Must have active Telegram and Protonmail accounts; Gmail accounts not used for company coms.
- Location preference: based in Amritsar (Punjab), Chandigarh, or New Delhi. Fully remote from India.
- Excellent English communication skills, flexible availability aligned approximately to Riga time zone.
- Must provide two professional references to verify competence, reliability and morality.
