Job Description
Stark & Partners client is a rapidly growing German scale-up with a proven and successful business model. They have already launched three products in the healthcare domain and are currently expanding their portfolio, including the launch of a brand-new product next year.
Their solution focuses on connecting patients, doctors, and healthcare products — entirely through digital channels. It represents a new approach to telemedicine, now entering an exciting phase of further enhancement and AI integration.
Innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction are at the core of their mission. They place great importance on delivering long-term, reliable support to their customers, primarily private patients in Germany.
Join our distributed team, where your work directly contributes to transforming healthcare — making it more accessible, efficient, and effective for people.
Your Key Focus Area:
We are looking for a Technical Product Owner with an e-commerce background to join our growing distributed team (Germany, Portugal, North Africa).
Our list of priorities for the next six months is already defined — so once you join, you will have a clear and structured roadmap to work through from day one.
In this role, you will be responsible for the success of the product(s) by translating business priorities into actionable backlog items, maintaining a consistent sprint cadence, and ensuring smooth collaboration across multiple functional teams.
The position is highly execution-driven, with a strong focus on process clarity, technical understanding, and hands-on problem-solving.
From the day one - you will work closely with our Lead Developer (based in Germany), engineering team (distributed), and cross-functional stakeholders across digital health platforms, reporting directly to the Head of Product Management & Engineering (also based in Germany).
Responsibilities:
● Sprint & Delivery Management – Own the product backlog and maintain clear prioritization based on business-critical initiatives
● Lead Sprint Ceremonies – Drive refinement, planning, and review sessions while ensuring a stable, predictable delivery cadence
● Define Sprint Goals – Communicate clear objectives to keep the team focused and aligned
● Track Progress & Remove Blockers – Identify issues early and ensure smooth delivery through proactive coordination
● Translate Business to Technical – Convert business initiatives into well-defined user stories and technical tasks
● Backlog Refinement – Continuously prioritize according to impact and dependencies, ensuring stories are precise and actionable
● Hands-On Technical Support – Support the backend team with direct database checks, log interpretation, and technical verification when needed
● Maintain Workflow Stability – Minimize unplanned work and protect developers from disruptions
● Clarify Requirements Rapidly – Keep momentum high by providing quick, clear answers
● Coordinate Dependencies – Identify and sequence dependencies early with the Lead Developer
● Ensure Transparency – Maintain clear communication on priorities and timelines across product and engineering
● Foster Cross-Team Communication – Reduce uncertainty and rework through strong collaboration
● Leverage AI Tools – Actively use AI to accelerate and improve day-to-day product delivery
● Drive AI Innovation – Explore, test, and integrate AI-based solutions into workflows and engineering processes
● Promote Experimentation – Build a culture of continuous learning around automation and intelligent tooling
Your Expertise:
● 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Product Owner, Technical Project Manager, or similar delivery role
● Proven track record in backlog management, sprint cycles, and agile workflows
● Strong understanding of backend systems (microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures)
● Familiarity with Shopify APIs/webhooks is a plus (Our consumer-facing storefronts run on Shopify Plus).
● Ability and willingness to perform basic technical checks (e.g. database queries, reading logs, basic troubleshooting)
● Familiarity with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, GitHub, or similar
● Excellent communicator with a structured, pragmatic, and delivery-oriented mindset
● Curious and open to adopting AI tools to enhance productivity and collaboration
● Fluent in English (German not required)
● Willing to travel to Hamburg from time to time for team workshops and meetings
Compensation:
● Opportunity to shape the backend delivery backbone of a fast-scaling digital health company from Germany
● Competitive compensation and a collaborative, high-impact working atmosphere
● Work closely with an experienced tech team in a hands-on, results-oriented environment
● A culture that values structure, efficiency, and continuous improvement
● Flexibility to work remotely
● Business trips to Germany
● Team Buildings, monthly coffee meetings
