Job Description

Join PhishFort and help build our Product function from the ground up.

You’ll own a full product area, shape strategy, work closely with Engineering and Operations, and ship meaningful improvements for customers.

This is a high-ownership role in a fast-moving B2B SaaS environment where clarity, pace, and real impact matter.

About the role

PhishFort is building a product function from a strong engineering and operations base. We have three core product areas today: Detection, Takedown, and Customer Experience (dashboards, reporting, client comms). We have roughly 12 engineers across three teams, and we need senior product leadership that can bring structure, clarity, and pace.

We are hiring a Senior Product Manager who can run their area like a small business: set direction, make trade-offs, protect engineering focus, keep stakeholders aligned, and ship meaningful improvements for customers.

What you will own

You will take full ownership of a major product area, likely aligned to one of these domains:

• Detection workflows and intelligence enrichment

• Takedown operations, automation, and case management

• Customer Experience, reporting, integrations, and client communications

Exact split will depend on your strengths and what the business needs most.

What you will do

Product leadership and execution

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for your area, with clear outcomes and measurable goals

• Run the core product cadence: weekly planning, backlog hygiene, delivery tracking, and release communication

• Lead the engineering team meeting for your area and keep it tight: priorities, blockers, decisions, accountability

• Write crisp product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria with a bias for clarity over volume

• Drive trade-offs and say “no” when needed, protecting engineering time from randomisation and stakeholder churn

Discovery and customer reality

• Build a continuous discovery loop with customers, analysts, and internal teams

• Translate messy real-world problems into shippable product increments

• Partner with Sales and Customer Success to validate what actually wins deals and retains accounts

• Set and track success metrics for features and releases, then act on what the data says

Stakeholder management

• Align CEO, CRO, Customer Success, Ops, and Engineering around what is shipping and why

• Turn stakeholder requests into a prioritised pipeline with transparent reasoning

• Communicate progress, risks, and scope changes clearly

Process and team building (greenfield)

• Help establish how Product works at PhishFort: rituals, templates, decision making, and quality bar

• Mentor less experienced product talent as the team grows

• Raise the standard for product thinking across the company

What success looks like

In your first 30 days

• You understand the product, customers, threat landscape basics, and internal workflows

• You have a clean view of the current roadmap, backlog, and delivery bottlenecks

• The engineering team meeting in your area becomes structured and predictable

• Stakeholders know how to work with Product and what the rules of engagement are

In 60 days

• Roadmap is outcome-driven, sequenced, and defensible

• Backlog is prioritised, groomed, and aligned to strategy

• Delivery starts to feel calmer but faster, with fewer surprises

• You have a tight feedback loop with customers and internal ops

In 90 days

• You ship multiple meaningful improvements with measurable impact

• Stakeholder trust goes up because expectations are managed properly

• Engineering focus improves because interruptions are controlled

• Your area has clear metrics and a plan that survives contact with reality

What we are looking for

Must have

• 5+ years of product management experience, including owning a roadmap and shipping consistently

• Strong operational discipline: you keep systems tidy, decisions recorded, and plans realistic

• Proven ability to run team cadences and keep delivery moving without burning people out

• Excellent stakeholder management, including handling senior voices and conflicting priorities

• Comfort with ambiguity and greenfield environments where you must build structure

• Clear written communication, especially requirements, specs, and decision docs

• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), as we operate fully in English across teams and regions

• Preferably based in the EU, UK, or South Africa, to ensure optimal timezone overlap with our teams and stakeholders

Strong advantage

• Experience in cybersecurity, fraud, trust and safety, abuse prevention, or brand protection

• Experience working with data-heavy products, workflow systems, and operational teams

• Familiarity with high-volume case pipelines, automation, and human-in-the-loop operations

• Experience with API-first products and integrations

• Comfort working with domain experts who do not speak “product”, and translating both ways

How you work (traits we care about)

• You are decisive and pragmatic, not a committee facilitator

• You are organised to a slightly obsessive degree, in a good way

• You simplify complex problems into the smallest valuable next step

• You do not hide behind frameworks — you use them when they help

• You protect the team from noise while staying deeply connected to customer reality

• You are low ego, high standards, and you enjoy being accountable

About the process

As the first step of our hiring process, you’ll be invited to complete a short pre-recorded interview. This helps us get to know you a bit better — your communication style, your motivation, and your initial fit for the role.

If you move forward from that stage, the next steps will include live interviews with management, where we’ll dive deeper into your experience and how you would contribute to the team.

What we offer

• High autonomy and real ownership in a rapidly evolving product

• Direct influence on company direction and how Product is built from scratch

• A mission that matters: protecting users and brands from phishing and online abuse

• Remote-friendly working style with a globally distributed team

• Competitive compensation based on experience and location
