About the Project
SmartCore is a fintech holding building infrastructure for the next generation of payments. Our solutions cover the entire financial operations cycle — from core banking and processing to cards, wallets, and anti-fraud systems.
We are building a fintech product (currently in pre-production) that is one of the fastest and most advanced Anti-Fraud systems on the market.
Our mission is to analyze and block fraudulent transactions for our clients (banks and payment providers) in real time (TIR < 100 ms).
Our architecture is designed to handle extremely high loads (1000+ TPS).
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Delivery Manager who will take ownership of a cross-functional team and be responsible for delivering our ambitious roadmap into production — and continuously evolving it.

Backend: Java, Node.js
Streaming & Real-time: Flink, Kafka, RabbitMQ
Databases: ClickHouse, TigerGraph (GraphDB), PostgreSQL, Redis
Infrastructure: CI/CD, DevOps practices
Your Key Responsibilities (Delivery)
Team Management
- Full-cycle management of a cross-functional team (Backend, Frontend, DevOps, Analytics, QA) of up to 10 people, with plans for further growth.
Process Management
- Organize and facilitate all development processes under Scrum (sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, backlog grooming).
Accountability for Results
- You are the process owner for delivery. Your main task is to take well-prepared product documentation and ensure the functionality is shipped to production.
Removing Blockers
- Be a true driver of the team: proactively identify bottlenecks, resolve issues, synchronize with adjacent teams, and push tasks to “Done”.
Stakeholder Communication
- Close collaboration with the CTO and investors. Own expectation management, provide regular reporting on status and risks, maintain alignment with the roadmap.
Best Practices Integration
- You should know modern IT project delivery methodology and actively integrate best practices into team workflows.
Our Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager / Delivery Manager.
- Mandatory: experience in Fintech projects. Experience in Anti-Fraud, Risk Management, or card processing is a decisive advantage.
- Technically competent: you don’t need to read code, but you must understand complex distributed high-load architectures at a high level. You should speak the same language as engineers when discussing microservices, Kafka, and real-time systems.
- Expert-level knowledge of Scrum, with the ability to adapt it to the team rather than follow it dogmatically.
- Strong leadership, proactivity, and a results-driven mindset (“getting things done no matter what”).
- English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.
- Russian: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.
