Job Description


This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Head of Product on a contract basis in the United States.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead product strategy and execution for a high-performing team during an interim period. As the acting Head of Product, you will provide strategic oversight across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Executive leadership. You will maintain continuity on active initiatives, oversee budget and operational metrics, and support direct reports in delivering product objectives. This fully remote contract position is ideal for an experienced product leader who excels at bridging teams, making data-driven decisions, and driving execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Accountabilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and maintain alignment between Product, Marketing, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ensure executive-level communication and reporting, including preparation of slides, talking points, and status updates for the Executive Team and Board.
  • Support and guide direct reports through weekly touchpoints, helping them prioritize initiatives and unblock key decisions.
  • Maintain visibility into ongoing projects, ensuring smooth cross-functional execution across Engineering, Design, Science, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Legal teams.
  • Oversee budget tracking and operational spend, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts and providing explanations for variances.
  • Represent the Product function in leadership forums and decision-making discussions, ensuring clarity, accountability, and transparency.
  • Requirements
  • 10+ years of product management experience, including leadership roles with cross-functional scope; at least 5 years of people management preferred.
  • Prior experience in interim or fractional product leadership roles is highly valued.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive and board materials.
  • Proven experience mentoring and empowering high-performing teams.
  • Ability to manage third-party service provider relationships, resolving time-sensitive issues effectively.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive execution and maintain continuity across multiple initiatives.
