Job Description


Our need

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Data Lead to shape, grow, and elevate DataFlip’s data practice. In this dual-capacity role, you will serve as both a technical expert—ensuring best-in-class solutions across projects—and a practice and people leader, guiding and mentoring team members on methodologies, strategies and execution, towards delivery excellence.

The Data Lead will collaborate closely with DataFlip team members and clients, driving innovation while ensuring the most relevant technologies and practices are applied. As a key leader reporting to the CTO, the BI & Data Lead will balance technical depth with team development, fostering a high-performing data practice that delivers impact at scale.


This role will be responsible for

As a BI & Data Lead, you will:

  • Create and communicate a clear technical vision for DataFlip’s Data practice, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Define scalable and robust data architectures for complex projects, collaborating with both engineering and client teams.
  • Act as a technical authority for the team, providing hands-on support for resolving the most complex data challenges.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering their growth and development in data engineering skills.
  • Establish and promote the best practices and technical standards to ensure high-quality data solutions.


What you bring

  • This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data projects, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of modern data platforms, ETL/ELT processes, cloud data services, visualizations tools (preferably in the Microsoft ecosystem), and data governance principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Preferably able to commit to a long-term remote engagement with the organization.
  • Fresh, approachable, servant-inclined leadership style. Be a facilitator to your team’s success, never the other way around!
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science would be advantageous.
