Job Description

Company Description

Rock Hill is a diversified investment platform that deploys flexible, unconstrained capital in control and non-control positions across equity, credit, and real assets. With over $7 billion in cross-border transactions and financings, we target differentiated, niche, opportunistic, or misunderstood businesses where our operational experience, financial discipline, and legacy ecosystem relationships create asymmetric upside and enduring value.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Director of Investor Relations & Marketing to lead all aspects of investor engagement, platform visibility, and brand storytelling. This individual will serve as a key bridge between the investment team and our limited partners, co-investors, and family office ecosystem — shaping Rock Hill’s narrative, driving thoughtful capital formation, and articulating the differentiated value of our permanent capital model. In parallel, the role will focus on proactively expanding our investor universe, cultivating new relationships across family offices, institutions, and strategic partners aligned with our long-term, unconstrained investment philosophy. This role is primarily focused on investor relations and marketing, with a secondary responsibility to support strategic sourcing and relationship mapping.

Key Responsibilities: Investor Relations (Primary)

»    Manage current and further develop new relationships across prospective capital partners, family offices, co-investors, investment advisors, and sponsors.

»    Prepare updates, reporting materials, investment communications, and due diligence packages.

»    Coordinate capital formation activities for co-investments and structured vehicles.

»    Ensure clear, timely, and professional communication with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities: Marketing & Platform Positioning (Primary)

»    Own the firm’s brand voice, messaging strategy, and narrative consistency.

»    Develop marketing materials including firm overview decks, case studies, bios, and thought leadership.

»    Lead the firm’s brand, message architecture, marketing collateral, website, and digital presence (website, LinkedIn, industry visibility) and event/conference materials.

»    Ensure all external communications reflect a clear and consistent identity.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing Support (Secondary)

»    Support ecosystem mapping across advisors, intermediaries, operators, and capital partners.

»    Assist with pipeline and CRM management.

»    Prepare meeting briefs and outreach strategy for partner-level relationship engagement.

 Other Responsibilities:

»    Manage CRM investor and transactional activity tracking and business development reporting.

Position Details:

»    Ability to conduct overnight travel up to 25%.

Qualifications:

»    10+ years in investor relations, marketing, private equity, investment banking, family office, RIA, corporate development, consulting, or related capital market’s role.

»    Relationship-driven with proven investor communication and stakeholder management experience.

»    Strong writing, communication, presentation, and message development skills; ability to simplify complex narratives.

»    Ability to discuss strategic rationale, business performance, and deal context confidently.

»    Organized, structured, and able to manage multiple priorities with discretion.

»    CRM, financial literacy, and strategic content development capabilities.

»    Demonstrated understanding of private capital structures, co-investments, and investor ecosystems.

»    Demonstrated use of AI, technology systems and analytics is a strong plus.

»    Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field; MBA preferred

 Attributes:

»    Collaborative, professional presence.

»    Structured and highly organized with strong follow-through.

»    Thrives in entrepreneurial, build-the-machine environments.

Compensation & Benefits:

»    Competitive base + performance-based bonus.

»    Comprehensive health insurance.

»    Paid time off and paid holidays.
