Job Description


Senior Security Engineer (80–100%) – Switzerland – Remote- however, must be based in Switzerland

My client, a forward-thinking Swiss tech company, is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to take the reins of their SecOps function, guide talented engineers, and shape the future of their security capabilities.


Role Overview:

  • Taking on the role of technical lead in their SecOps team
  • Technical mentoring of employees
  • Planning and execution of internal workshops and training courses
  • Responsible for the general support of security-related topics under Linux (e.g., hardening, compliance, auditing)
  • Responsible for the general support of security-related topics under Windows (e.g., hardening, compliance, auditing)
  • Implementation and operation of Microsoft Defender for Linux and Trend Micro for Linux
  • Creation of Bash and Python scripts for automating routine tasks, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Planning, operation and further development of WAF, PAM and IAM solutions
  • Collaboration with internal teams on security analyses and participation in security incident response.


Your strengths and knowledge

  • Completed studies in computer science, IT security or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in mentoring employees
  • Solid experience in the Linux environment (Debian, RHEL, etc.)
  • Good knowledge in the field of DevSecOps
  • Basic understanding of modern web application security
  • Practical experience with SIEM/SOAR systems
  • Knowledge of Defender for Linux and TrendMicro solutions is desirable.
  • Good programming skills in Bash and Python
  • Teamwork skills, high level of initiative and structured work style
  • German and English, both spoken and written
