This role combines strategic ownership with hands-on execution, managing email, SMS, and loyalty programs that drive customer engagement, lifetime value, and measurable revenue growth. You will mentor a team of retention specialists, collaborate cross-functionally with performance, creative, and strategy teams, and use data-driven insights to craft impactful campaigns. - Accountabilities:
- Lead and manage a team of retention marketing specialists to execute email, SMS, and loyalty campaigns.
- Develop strategic campaign calendars and lifecycle marketing programs tailored to client needs.
- Oversee campaign segmentation, automation, flow logic, and app integrations for optimal performance.
- Monitor campaign performance and KPIs, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Serve as the senior point of contact for select clients, presenting strategies and campaign results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Performance, Creative, and Strategy teams to ensure cohesive campaigns.
- Drive innovation in retention marketing by applying data insights and industry best practices.
- Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in e-commerce and D2C environments.
- Proven expertise in scaling personalized email and SMS programs that drive retention and LTV.
- Experience with ESPs such as Klaviyo, and SMS platforms like Attentive, PostScript, or SMSBump.
- Familiarity with Shopify and related marketing tech stack tools (Privy, JustUno, Yotpo, Octane AI, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable marketing strategies.
- Leadership experience with direct reports and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to articulate complex strategies effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote-first work environment.
