Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of user and business goals to inform design strategy.
- Tackle complex design challenges and provide creative solutions that balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
- Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Analyze data and feedback to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts. Iterate on designs based on feedback and user testing.
- Fluent with design systems and the ability to establish them from scratch
- Develop innovative high-fidelity UX/UI/Interaction/Print designs that adhere to brand guidelines and design systems. Ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints.
- Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback and validate design decisions. Use insights to refine and enhance the user experience.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and influence decision-making.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers.
- Establishing design systems from scratch
What You Will Need
- Proficient in industry-standard design tools (Figma, e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, Slack).
- Strong understanding of web design principles, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI) design.
- A solid foundation in visual design theory encompassing composition, color theory, and typography is highly valued at Akeo. We prioritize attitude over existing skills, recognizing the dynamic nature of our field. Adaptability is key, and we are open to exploring new processes that enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall satisfaction.
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience delivering exceptional interaction design for web and mobile platforms within startups, studios, or agencies, significantly influencing brand direction.
- A strong command of design processes, methodologies, and principles, reflecting your passion for the art of design. Your focus on user experience and information architecture is a key asset.
- Your portfolio should demonstrate a mastery of crafting beautiful, usable experiences across various devices and contexts.
- BIG PLUS: Usage of AI tools, experience with animation tools such as Figma Prototype/After Effects/Rive and experience with 3D.
