Job Description
The Social Media Strategist is a key strategic role responsible for defining and executing Protein Pints’ overarching social media strategy, driving customer acquisition, and ensuring brand adherence across all digital channels. This person loves to eat, sleep & breathe social media with strong creativity, having the ability to discover and act on trends quickly. Our Social Media Strategist will be hands-on to oversee content planning & creation, analytical performance, and translating business goals into measurable social performance indicators. This role will develop major content initiatives, and serve as the main liaison for social efforts cross functionally within our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution (45%)
- Define the weekly and quarterly social media strategy, including platform allocation, pillar strategy, brand voice guidelines, and competitive analysis to ensure market leadership.
- Own brand content strategy overseeing the daily content calendar and execution for each social media platform to boost following & engagement, with continual focus & updates to each platform strategy based on performance. across core platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook & X). Requires hands-on editing skills (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere).
- Own UGC content development & usage.
- Oversee proactive and reactive community efforts for all social platforms, ensuring daily best in class communication at all times. This will require hands-on night and weekend community effort work.
- Develop content to support marque brand initiatives.
- Lead the strategy for external partnership inquiries related specifically to our social media efforts, vetting opportunities for brand awareness, content exchange, and impact.
- Work cross functionally with Brand Manager & Content Manager to ensure event activation content is utilized within social strategy.
- Serve as the chief steward of the Protein Pints brand standard across all social media channels ensuring our brand is always represented correctly and any issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Mentor and guide the Content Manager and social interns, ensuring all execution aligns with strategic goals and best practices.
- Ideate and lead the execution of creative social campaigns specifically designed to increase e-commerce sales, drive new customer acquisition, and optimize the conversion funnel from social touchpoints.
Analysis, Reporting, and Planning (35%)
- Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly tracking and reporting of social media activities, including deep dives into platform metrics, sales funnel performance, and campaign ROI.
- Proactively research, vet, and prioritize emerging social media trends, new platform opportunities, and industry shifts, providing strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Assist in managing the social media budget, allocating resources efficiently for content development, boost spending, and partnership initiatives.
Cross-Functional & Project Management (20%)
- Serve as a reliable, high-level administrative and project management resource for CMO, handling special projects and sensitive weekly tasks as requested.
- Coordinate and maintain all internal platforms including Trello, G-Drive documents and so forth, ensuring all team members have access to up-to-date and approved creative assets.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of professional experience in social media management and social strategy within the CPG or F&B sectors.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with deep experience in native social analytics, Google Analytics, and translating complex data into actionable insights for leadership.
- Expert-level knowledge of social media algorithms, best practices, and new media formats (e.g., short-form video, live shopping).
- Highly proficient with project management systems (e.g., Trello, Notion) and GSuite.
- Proven track record of translating social media activity into measurable business results (e.g., e-commerce sales, acquisition).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $95,000 – $105,000 Annually, Depending on Experience (DOE).
- Benefits: Comprehensive Health Insurance, 401K matching and a competitive Equity/Stock Option package.
- Work Arrangement: Fully remote, US-based. Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
- Reporting: Reports to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
