Job Description:
Contract Graphic Designer will take an active, hands-on role in assisting the corporate communications team with all graphic design execution needs. The ideal candidate is a self-starter able to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines. The designer must be a champion for the brand and its visual products, offering solutions and ideas to meet communication needs. This person should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable interacting with and collaborating with all team members throughout the hierarchy of the organization.
Principal Duties:
- Creative thinking and graphic design on a variety of promotions and communications. This includes traditional print graphics (handouts, flyers, direct mailers, advertisements, reports); digital graphics (employee comms app, digital signage, social media posts, email campaigns, and presentations); interactive media; and/or branding (logos, style guides).
- Collaborate with the corporate communications team to execute designs and create templates for internal and external communications across print, digital channels, presentations, and events.
- Interface with clients directly to clarify request details and project needs, collaborating while supporting the brand through to the project’s completion.
- Works within job management software, maintains a file system of all creative service projects, and helps to support a digital asset management database of images and resources. Knowledge of WorkFront and Webdam is a plus.
- Be an advocate for the brand, communicating and re-enforcing the correct usage of brand assets with internal teams as well as external business partners.
- Interpret and distill highly technical information both verbally and visually for a variety of audiences.
- Sources work to outside designers, photographers, print professionals, and other suppliers, and manages production processes and logistics to project completion.
- Coordinate with vendors on production estimates, execution, and delivery of final products.
Graphic Designer Qualifications/Skills:
- Minimum 5+ years of professional design experience.
- Strong communication (writing, listening, explaining your ideas), organization & project management skills.
- Must be able to provide a portfolio of prior work demonstrating knowledge of professional design tools, channels, and aesthetics (e.g., collateral, presentation design, online graphics and banners, print).
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office with strong PowerPoint and Word skills.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
