Job Title: Software Engineer II - QA
Location: Bengaluru

Job Description:

We are looking for a Software Engineer II QA to lead and champion the Quality Engineering (QE) Test Automation strategy across all digital applications and services at 7-Eleven. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to test automation team, fostering excellence and scalability in automation solutions and ensuring adherence to best coding practices. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of digital products and features to deliver high-quality, integrated testing solutions that support business objectives

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement a comprehensive test strategy spanning functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.


• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test artifacts that support release readiness and change approvals.


• Develop and maintain a test data strategy, ensuring reusable and high-quality test data for multiple environments.


• Build scalable test automation frameworks using Java-based tools:




• Selenium / Selenide


• TestNG / JUnit


• Cucumber


• RestAssured / Karate


• Allure / ExtentReports




• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).


• Conduct post-release performance benchmarking using tools such as:




• JMeter


• Gatling


• k6




• Maintain defect categories, support triage and root cause analysis, and track resolution.


• Use test management tools like Zephyr, TestRail, or similar.


• Mentor and guide QA engineers, set up test frameworks, and establish best practices.

Skills Required:

• 5- 7years of experience in QA and test automation, especially with Java-based frameworks.


• Hands-on experience in Appium with Android and iOS applications.


• Proven experience in test data strategy and test data maintenance.


• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.


• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, API testing, and automated testing pipelines.


• Strong background in performance testing and benchmarking.


• Excellent collaboration, analytical, and debugging skills.


• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and tools.


• Browserstack experience is preferred.
