Job Description
Head of Product / Product & Growth (Founding Team) – Consumer Mobile · Gamified Learning · B2B2C FinEd (EU)
Location: Paris or London (hybrid; remote‑friendly within CET–GMT)
Start date: Open (target Q2 2026)
About
Equity is building Europe’s financial‑literacy champion—an education‑only platform that blends Duolingo‑style learning with a clear sustainable/impact finance track. We’ve delivered 1,000+ learner workshops across three continents (with Bank of France support) and earned recognition at the Money Awareness & Inclusion Awards. We serve companies, asset managers and schools, and are now productising our pedagogy into a B2B2C app mapped to EU/OECD competence frameworks. Based in London & Paris with a lean, senior‑biased team.
Why this role is exciting (and why now)
- Category leadership: Help us become Europe’s reference for financial literacy; measurable learning outcomes, education‑only guardrails, and a distinctive impact finance vocabulary at scale.
- Democratising FinEd: Turn complex money topics into micro‑lessons, missions and certifications people actually finish–mobile‑first in FR/EN to start, then broader EU.
- Bank/AM opportunity: Build partner‑safe flows that let banks and asset managers educate customers and responsibly communicate product information; neutral education with clear hand‑offs to advisors (no personal advice). Active conversations include Goodvest, LCL and Crédit Coopératif.
- Proof & policy tailwinds: 1,000+ learners, Bank of France support and awards signal demand; mapping to EU/OECD frameworks makes us legible to ministries, regulators and schools.
This offer is expressly conditional upon Equity successfully closing an equity financing round target on or before EOQ1 2026.
What you'll own
You are the product GM for our consumer app and B2B partner surfaces – owning strategy → execution → outcomes.
- Product strategy & roadmap: Define the learning journey (onboarding → lessons → missions → certification), partner UX, and B2B dashboards aligned to EU/OECD competencies.
- Activation & retention: Design and run experiments on activation, habit loops, spaced repetition, streaks, reminders; own D1/D7/D30 retention and pre/post knowledge lift.
- Monetisation & scale: Craft freemium/premium packaging; shape partner co‑branded modules and education‑only product‑info pages (no personal recommendations).
- B2B experiences: Build cohort dashboards (progress, completion, assessment), SSO, certifications, and reporting that institutions trust.
- Data & experimentation: Own event taxonomy, funnels, A/B testing cadence, learning outcomes instrumentation; turn insights into weekly decisions.
- Compliance‑aware UX: Institutional‑grade clarity—disclaimers, referrals to regulated partners, data minimisation by design; partner with legal/compliance.
- Cross‑functional leadership: Work hand‑in‑hand with Engineering, Learning/Curriculum, Design/UX, and Policy; brief leadership, partners and (later) investors with crisp, metric‑led updates.
What success looks like:
90 days
- Clear product thesis, roadmap and experiment backlog; first 60–90 micro‑lessons playable; baseline analytics live.
- Activation funnel instrumented; top 3 conversion blockers identified; partner‑safe referral copy approved by counsel.
6 months
- D7 ≥ 35% for core cohorts; completion ≥ 55% on first path; pre/post knowledge lift ≥ 20% on assessments.
- B2B dashboard (cohort analytics, certificates) in pilots; 3–5 high‑impact growth experiments shipped with 2+ wins.
12 months
- Multi‑country rollout (FR/EN); MAU 100k+ across B2B2C; repeatable growth engine; partner satisfaction ≥ 8/10 and renewals booked.
The product surfaces you'll shape
- Consumer app (iOS/Android): onboarding; lesson engine; quizzes; missions; progress & certificates; reminders; social proofs.
- B2B admin: cohort creation; SSO; analytics & reporting; certificates; content controls.
- Partner flows: neutral education → clear hand‑off to regulated providers; content governance & audit trail.
- Web surfaces: marketing site, knowledge base, outcomes pages.
Your background
- 7–10+ years in product management; 2–4+ years leading PMs/PMM/Design or growth squads (player‑coach).
- You’ve shipped consumer mobile products with strong engagement (ideally learning, habit‑forming, or gamified).
- Deep in growth: activation, retention, monetisation; A/B testing; event schemas; lifecycle messaging.
- Comfortable with compliance‑aware UX (clear disclaimers; no personal advice; suitability concepts); collaborate well with legal/compliance.
- Fluent with product analytics (Amplitude/Mixpanel, GA4, SQL/Sheets/dbt basics) and experiment design.
- Exceptional storytelling: crisp PRDs, strong stakeholder comms, and taste for high‑leverage UX.
- Location: Paris or London (or within ±2 hours CET/GMT); monthly travel OK.
Nice to have: Fintech/edtech background; learning‑science familiarity (mastery, spaced repetition); FR/EN bilingual; exposure to bank/AM partnerships.
How we work
- Small, senior, fast; weekly experiment cadence; evidence > opinion.
- “Education‑only” is a design principle, not just a disclaimer.
- We build for institutions and people—clarity, fairness, and trust are part of the UX.
Compensation
Competitive salary + meaningful equity (founding team). Relocation support available for Paris/London.
Hiring process (fast & respectful)
- 30‑min intro with CEO
- 60‑90‑min product deep‑dive (case walk‑through; product sense; metrics)
- 2–3 hr paid working session (define experiment plan and v1 of an assessment + dashboard slice)
- References & offer
