Job Description
Our client is a Pull Request as a Service platform. Their mission is to unlock the potential of the world’s most underrepresented, underprivileged, and underrated developers. Help them create opportunities for anyone to grow by contributing on the world’s best codebases.
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join a diverse team of 9 nationalities, which just happens to be 50% female.
Skills
- You have a technical background - computer science, engineering, etc
- You’re analytical - you’re great at identifying edge cases
- A master juggler - between user dreams and engineering reality, between the creative process and getting to a direct experience asap, between obtaining consensus and ruthless execution. You are great pragmatist and balance speed and quality
- Your toes twinkle - You can deliver quickly even in situations where there is little time for preparation
- You really care about the problem we are trying to solve and narrowing the gap in global inequality of opportunity
- You are excited to meet Silicon Valley’s best product designers to learn decades of insights in mere months
- 4+ years of professional experience as a designer in a startup environment, preferably developer tools/ SaaS products. In that time, you've shown a successful track record of owning UI/UX design from discovery to production
- You are strong designer. You are someone who strives to make visual communication the best it can be and you have a portfolio demonstrating an ability to create high quality go-to-market materials
- You are proactive in identifying ways to improve the product, design and processes of what you do
- You are an expert in modern design and tools to think, from Figma/Sketch to Notion/Roam to Miro.
- You've worked in cross-functional teams before, collaborating with other designers, developers, marketeers, customer support and other go-to-market folks.
- Lead the product design process from discovery to production. You will own the entire UI/UX implementation end-to-end and establish a design system for a unified and cohesive product
- Partner with our CEO, Revenue Team, and Engineers to define effective solutions to design problems. You are very comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty in the process
- Build user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to help validate product hypotheses to help guide engineering and product development.
- Identify the best tools and processes to maximize the team’s productivity - we have an unlimited budget to make the team productive
- Grow a world class product team. You will be our first dedicated product hire. As we scale, you will play a leading role in our product team as it expands
- Fully remote: work from wherever you want
