About Shepherds Hospitality

Shepherds Hospitality Private Limited is the hospitality and operations arm of Shepherds, a real estate company building high-yield, tech-enabled living and stay experiences. This subsidiary owns and operates the full stack of hospitality for Shepherds assets: rooms, F&B, events, guest experience, and operating systems, with the ambition to build a globally respected, design-led, operationally excellent brand.

Role Overview

The CEO is the single point leader for Shepherds Hospitality, combining CEO and Chief Business Officer mandates. This leader owns vision, P&L, brand, commercial strategy, and on-ground operations across all properties and verticals. The remit covers market launch, revenue growth, partnerships, and day-to-day execution, building a platform that delivers exceptional guest experience, strong unit economics, and attractive returns to owners and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

  • Define and own the long-term hospitality strategy, positioning, and operating model for Shepherds Hospitality.
  • Design and execute a multi-city expansion roadmap, including market selection, asset strategy, and launch playbooks.
  • Build the commercial architecture: pricing models, fee structures, contracts, and partnership frameworks across stays, F&B, and events.
  • Translate strategy into clear plans, KPIs, and dashboards tied to profitability, quality, and growth.

Market Building & Business Development

  • Launch and own priority geographies; secure supply from homeowners, developers, and strategic partners.
  • Build and lead city-level GTM: channel mix, corporate and B2B programs, event and long-stay products, and distribution alliances.
  • Develop strong relationships with owners, builders, brokers, and capital partners to grow and retain the portfolio.

End-to-End Operations

  • Lead all hospitality operations: front office, housekeeping, engineering, F&B, events, and centralized service hubs.
  • Establish operating standards, SOPs, and training systems that ensure consistent brand delivery across properties.
  • Implement tech-enabled workflows to improve efficiency in check-in, housekeeping, maintenance, inventory, and vendor management.

Guest & Brand Experience

  • Create a distinctive guest journey and service culture that combines boutique warmth with operational discipline.
  • Use feedback, NPS, and review data to drive improvement, recovery, and product refinement.
  • Work with design and product teams so that spaces, amenities, and digital touchpoints reflect the brand promise.

Revenue, P&L & Yield

  • Own full P&L for Shepherds Hospitality, including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, F&B, events, and ancillary income.
  • Oversee revenue management and distribution across OTAs, direct channels, corporate contracts, and partnerships.
  • Develop and scale B2B, long-stay, events, and corporate housing programs to deepen yield and stabilize cash flows.

People & Culture

  • Build and lead a multi-layered team: property GMs, operations and F&B heads, revenue and distribution leaders, and central support.
  • Shape a performance culture that blends high accountability with learning, inclusion, and frontline empowerment.
  • Design org structures, role charters, academies, and succession plans to support rapid scale.

Partnerships & Stakeholders

  • Work closely with Shepherds (real estate) leadership to align asset strategy, underwriting, and operating models.
  • Own relationships with OTAs, distribution partners, event and F&B collaborators, and key vendors.
  • Engage with investors, advisors, and board members on performance, risk, and strategic opportunities.

Innovation & Systems

  • Champion data-driven decision-making across operations, revenue, and guest experience.
  • Evaluate and implement hospitality technology: PMS, channel managers, CRM, workflow tools, and AI-driven systems.
  • Benchmark global brands and emerging operators, bringing relevant practices into the Shepherds context.

Ideal Profile

  • 12–20+ years of progressive leadership in hospitality or adjacent sectors, with multi-property or multi-city responsibility and clear P&L ownership.
  • Background as GM, Director of Operations, COO, Country Head, or similar role in hotels, serviced apartments, branded rentals, or hospitality platforms.
  • Deep understanding of full-stack hospitality: rooms, F&B, events, housekeeping, engineering, revenue management, and distribution.
  • Strong commercial track record improving margins, scaling revenue, and managing complex budgets and stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience building and leading distributed teams with an emphasis on training, culture, and service quality in high-growth environments.
  • High integrity, owner mindset, field presence, and comfort working closely with founders and investors.

Compensation

  • Equity-only leadership role at start, sized to reflect CEO and CBO-level responsibility and venture-scale ambition.
  • Transition to competitive salary plus equity once mutually agreed revenue and funding thresholds are achieved.
  • Structured for a founder-level leader who wants to build and own a category-defining hospitality platform in partnership with Shepherds.
