Job Description


About the Opportunity:

The organization is a global leader in cybersecurity, providing advanced AI-native security solutions for modern organizations. The Senior Software Development Engineer II role is focused on developing and maintaining the Linux sensor (lightweight agent) component of a security platform that monitors system activity, detects malicious behavior, and communicates with a cloud-based system for threat analysis. The position involves designing and delivering core features that interact with multiple core OS subsystems and collaborating with distributed teams using Agile principles.


Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Linux software for server deployment

• Own features from design through to delivery

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in various locations

• Troubleshoot product issues as reported by customers

• Participate in other assigned projects


Requirements:

• Proficient in developing high-quality code in C/C++, demonstrated through prior experience, academic work, or community projects

• Experience developing product code on Linux or Unix with high concurrency, multi-threading, and high reliability requirements

• Understanding of low-level operating characteristics, including memory usage, performance, and compliance with external standards

• Experience working on a team to deliver major features and releases

• Effective communication and collaboration skills for a distributed team environment


Compensation:

• The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $160,000 - $250,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
