The company has a strong footprint in Colombia and Mexico, with an upcoming expansion into Guatemala, and has been recognized as a Great Place to Work for four consecutive years.

We are seeking a Regional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) with a solid, proven track record in traditional banking and/or fintech under a B2B2C model, ideally with direct knowledge of the Mexican, Colombian, and Guatemalan markets. This background is essential to deeply understand financial customer journeys, regulatory frameworks, payment ecosystems, digital adoption, indirect distribution channels, and the commercial dynamics between enterprise partners and end users across these countries.

The company’s culture is defined by autonomy, innovation, and collaboration. They value speed of execution, adaptability to change, and continuous learning within a fast-paced, multicultural, results-driven environment, supported by an open-door policy and strong ownership mindset.

Purpose of the Role

The Regional CMO will design, lead, and execute the integrated marketing and communications strategy for Latin America, ensuring every initiative accelerates revenue growth, improves profitability, and strengthens brand positioning within the digital financial ecosystem.

This is a hands-on executive role that blends strategic vision with operational excellence, leading demand generation, digital marketing, branding, public relations, and data-driven decision-making—grounded in a deep understanding of banking and B2B2C fintech at regional scale, particularly in Mexico, Colombia, and Guatemala.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the regional marketing and communications strategy aligned with the company’s financial and growth objectives.
  • Lead integrated ATL, BTL, and digital campaigns focused on both B2B and B2C demand generation.
  • Manage and optimize the end-to-end conversion funnel, ensuring strong metrics on ROI, CAC, CLV, and ARPU.
  • Strengthen corporate reputation and regional visibility through media relations, public relations, and industry events.
  • Develop content and brand strategies tailored to clients, merchants, and strategic partners.
  • Position company executives as recognized thought leaders within the fintech sector.
  • Plan and oversee corporate events, conferences, and branding activations.
  • Integrate advanced analytical and marketing tools (HubSpot, Tableau, BI) to support data-driven decisions.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire regional marketing teams, fostering innovation and cross-country collaboration.
  • Identify and manage strategic partnerships and co-marketing alliances with banks, fintechs, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Oversee crisis communication and reputation management across multiple markets.

Profile Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Master’s degree or postgraduate studies in Digital Marketing, Strategic Communications, Commercial Management, or an MBA (preferred).
  • At least 10 years of total marketing experience, including 5+ years in regional leadership roles across Latin America.
  • Proven background in fintech, payments, digital banking, B2B SaaS, or financial services.
  • AT LEAST 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE BANKING, FINTECH, OR FINANCIAL SECTOR WITHIN A B2B2C SEGMENT (MANDATORY).
  • Deep knowledge of the Mexican and Colombian markets (experience with Guatemala is a plus).
  • Fluent or bilingual English (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in HubSpot, Tableau, Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong skills in strategic communication, data analytics, leadership, and ROI optimization.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving, multicultural environments with high resilience and strong ownership mindset.

Core Competencies

  • Strategic and inspirational leadership.
  • Analytical and financial mindset.
  • Executive-level communication and influence.
  • Creativity, innovation, and problem-solving.
  • Results-driven and accountable.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and agility in change management.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Permanent contract with competitive, negotiable salary.
  • Hybrid work model (2 days on-site in Mexico City or State of Mexico).
  • Regional travel (approx. 6 trips per year) and access to international training programs.
  • Private medical insurance and above-market benefits.
  • Growth opportunity within a well-established, expanding fintech organization operating across Latin America.
