Job Description
- 📌 Product Owner — Fintech / Digital Wallets
We’re looking for a Product Owner who thrives at the intersection of business, compliance, and engineering, and who can turn ambiguous needs into clear, secure, and user-centric digital financial products.
If you love maintaining product vision, managing a backlog with precision, and working with distributed teams without losing context — this role is for you.
🔍 What You’ll Do
👥 Bridge between business and technology
- Act as the strategic and operational link between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Serve as the single source of truth for product vision and keep teams aligned across time zones.
- Own and maintain product specs, business logic documentation, and endpoint descriptions.
- Translate business needs into epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Maintain deep understanding of product flows, system boundaries, data models, and permission structures.
- Prioritize the backlog based on business impact, compliance urgency, and user value.
- Define core financial logic (commissions, KYC rules, wallet behavior, system flows).
- Ensure product features comply with applicable financial regulations (e.g., GDPR, AML5, PSD2).
- Work closely with Compliance, Legal, and Risk to embed requirements directly into specs and user journeys.
- Collaborate with Development Leads, Design/UI-UX, Legal & Compliance, and Operations.
- Ensure what gets shipped matches what was designed and agreed.
- Define release readiness criteria, GTM plans, and rollout strategies.
- Coordinate UAT cycles and work with QA on test plans, edge case coverage, and feedback loops.
- Present product demos and progress updates to internal stakeholders, clients, and — when relevant — investors.
📍 Domain Experience
- Background in fintech, digital wallets, or crypto platforms.
- Working understanding of compliance in financial products (KYC/AML, data protection, payments regulation).
- GitHub for collaboration with technical teams.
- Monday.com or similar tools for backlog and sprint management.
- Slack and GitBook (or similar) for documentation and team communication.
- Postman / Swagger UI for reviewing and validating endpoints.
- Strong attention to detail, especially around specifications and compliance constraints.
- Excellent written and verbal communication — able to explain complex logic clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex functional logic into intuitive user journeys.
- Comfortable working in agile environments with PMs, QAs, and developers.
- Strong prioritization and scope-negotiation skills.
- Previous ownership of multiple products/domains in parallel.
- Experience in environments where a single PO supports multiple products with different Tech Leads/PMs.
- Exposure to investor-facing demos or client implementations.
- Background in payments, banking-as-a-service, or card issuing.
You will initially operate as a cross-product Product Owner across multiple financial initiatives (such as wallets and financial services), supported by domain-focused contributors (PM, Compliance Lead, Tech Lead, QA).
As complexity and velocity grow, the role may evolve into more specialized product lines
