Job Description
A fast-growing international startup operating in the ad tech industry is seeking skilled and motivated QA Engineers to join their engineering teams in Porto. The organization is part of a larger group of 200+ professionals offering a broad range of digital services, with offices in Barcelona, Dublin, Porto, Valencia, and Tarragona.
They develop their own proprietary ad verification and monitoring system, enabling rapid innovation and deployment of new features in a highly dynamic industry. The team is looking for passionate QA professionals focused on Back-End Testing, ideally with experience in ad-serving solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- Own the testing and validation of usability, functional correctness, and user experience for new features, UI updates, and bug fixes
- Plan and create detailed test plans
- Define and execute test scenarios for both manual and automated testing
- Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Identify areas for improvement, translate business needs into requirements, and recommend process enhancements
- Participate in regular reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices
You Have
- Minimum 3 years of QA experience in manual and automated testing
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in an agile environment
- At least 3 years of scripting/automation using TypeScript
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub workflows in distributed teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for product quality, user experience, and continuous improvement
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with frequent releases
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn the complexities of a large platform
- Nice-to-have: Elasticsearch/Kibana, AWS experience, API testing tools, and ad-serving testing
Education
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
