Job Description

You will architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms while integrating diverse data sources across healthcare and contact center systems. Working closely with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders, you will ensure seamless data flow, implement governance standards, and create robust pipelines that enable actionable insights. Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data architectures, pipelines, and storage solutions.
  • Integrate data from multiple healthcare and contact center systems to ensure interoperability.
  • Build and optimize ETL processes for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Develop and maintain databases, data warehouses, and data lakes with high performance and security.
  • Implement data governance, quality assurance, and compliance standards across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Develop and deploy APIs and data services for secure access to data assets.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues, identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Document data architecture, flows, and technical specifications for internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 510 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or database development.
  • Expertise in relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Proficiency in data pipeline development using SQL, Python, Spark, or ETL frameworks (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure) and data warehousing solutions.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, integration, and API development.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards in regulated environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and advanced analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) or VistA/HealthShare integration.
  • Experience supporting federal healthcare initiatives or VA programs.
  • Ability to obtain a government clearance.
