Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Location: Kelowna, BC (Relocation Required)

Compensation: $140,000 (activated upon grant approval) + full technical autonomy

Plate Shade Group is building an integrated technology ecosystem for restaurant operations, delivery logistics, and ethical customer engagement — including:

• Phantom Driver: Employee-based delivery network
• GaiSEON: Intelligence platform for operational insight
• Kith365: Customer re-engagement engine

We are now recruiting a founding-stage Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our Phase One technical build and prepare the launch of our first Phantom Driver territory.

This role begins with a signed Letter of Intent contingent on grant funding and activates upon funding approval.

GaiSEON is the long-term full intelligence platform planned for Plate Shade.

For Year 1, the CTO will deliver GaiSEON GEM, a smaller, targeted intelligence engine required to power Phantom Driver’s routing, forecasting, and operational logistics.

All systems below must be delivered within the first 10 months to enable the Month 12 territory launch.

You will define Plate Shade’s technical architecture, lead all product development, build and manage the engineering team, and oversee technical grant fund execution. This is a high-autonomy executive role with full control over technology direction.

• Architect and deliver all Phase One systems
• Integrate GaiSEON GEM with Phantom Driver
• Set technical standards and infrastructure
• Hire and lead the engineering team
• Build a culture of clarity, autonomy, and execution
• Oversee sprints and roadmap delivery
• Manage technical grant funds & milestone reporting
  

Required

• 7+ years senior engineering leadership (CTO/VP Eng/Principal Architect)
• Successful delivery of SaaS or multi-module platforms
• Strong architecture & real-time systems experience
• Track record taking products from MVP → launch
• Willing to relocate to Kelowna within 60 days of funding

Preferred

• Logistics, dispatch, or delivery-system experience
• AI-assisted or predictive platform background
• Exposure to grant-funded technical projects
• Familiarity with Canadian data-ethics frameworks
