Full-Stack Developer (Freelance or Partner with Equity)

SilvIA is an artificial intelligence platform focused on forest health. We use satellite imagery, climate data, and predictive models to monitor, analyze, and anticipate ecological risks such as wildfires, deforestation, or water stress. Our goal is to automate decision-making in conservation and sustainability through advanced and accessible technology for institutions, governments, and NGOs.
We want to bring on a Full-Stack Developer with experience in complex technological products—ideally someone motivated to become a technical co-founder or strategic partner, with the option of equity. The role begins as freelance with the possibility of evolving into an active partnership within the startup.
Frontend
• React, Next.js
• Tailwind, Material UI
Backend
• Node.js, Python (FastAPI or Flask)
• REST APIs, WebSockets
Data & Geolocation
• PostgreSQL/PostGIS, MongoDB
• Visualization: Mapbox, Leaflet, or Cesium
• Integration with Machine Learning models and satellite data (Sentinel, MODIS)
DevOps / Infrastructure
• AWS, GCP, or similar
• Docker, CI/CD, GitHub Actions
• Design and build SilvIA’s MVP (API and front-end).
• Integrate machine learning models for geospatial analysis and risk prediction.
• Participate in technical and strategic product decisions.
• Establish best practices for development, scalability, and modularity.
• Collaborate with the founding team on the technical vision and product evolution.
• Full flexibility in schedule and location (100% remote).
• Freelance arrangement or incorporation as a partner with equity.
• Participation in the creation of a ClimateTech startup with real environmental impact.
• A culture of collaboration, autonomy, and long-term vision.
• Strong technical ability and autonomy to lead product development.
• Genuine interest in sustainability, data science or AI
• Product vision and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Prior experience in startups, open-source projects, or complex products is a must.
• English is a must. Spanish is a plus.
