The Security Operations Analyst II will leverage advanced monitoring tools to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents, while continuously improving detection methods and reducing false positives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior analysts, and stay ahead of emerging threats and industry trends. - Accountabilities:
- Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents across cyber, DLP, fraud, and privacy domains.
- Operate and optimize advanced security monitoring and investigation tools.
- Perform malware analysis and research attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Improve detection rules and reduce false positives through proactive purple team engagements.
- Document incidents, generate reports, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on insider threat and fraud prevention initiatives.
- Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and industry best practices.
- Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in Cybersecurity or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2β3 years of experience in information security operations, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to independently triage and respond to security alerts and incidents.
- Preferred certifications: CHFI, SANS GIAC, ECIH, CEH, Security+, Network+.
- Strong desire to learn and adapt in a fast-evolving security environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work a four-day schedule, Wednesday through Saturday, 9 AM β 7 PM MT.
