Web Developer (SolidJS / TypeScript / CSS)
📍 100% Remote
⏳ 7-month contract with possible extension
We’re looking for an experienced Web Developer to help build a brand-new web-based game title. You’ll collaborate with both front-end and back-end engineers in fast-paced, iterative sprints to ship polished, high-quality features.
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years experience with CSS
- 3+ years experience with TypeScript
- 3+ years experience with SolidJS
About the Role
The ideal candidate is a front-end engineer with deep expertise in SolidJS, TypeScript, and CSS—someone who thrives in collaborative environments, works well with design partners, and delivers pixel-perfect, responsive UI with strong performance.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Design teams to deliver high-quality game features.
- Translate Figma designs and interaction specs into tested, accessible, production-ready UI.
- Enhance and extend existing design systems and front-end architecture.
- Refine UI polish, resolve defects, and ensure pixel-perfect alignment with design specs.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established quality, security, and accessibility standards.
- Communicate progress effectively using project/task management tools.
- Instrument features for telemetry, performance tracking, and error monitoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of professional front-end development experience.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting, profiling, and optimizing front-end performance.
Core Knowledge
- Web development lifecycle (planning → development → testing → deployment → maintenance)
- Tooling: Node.js, npm, Visual Studio/VS Code, Azure DevOps, Git
- Languages: HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript (TS/TSX), JSON
- Frameworks/build tools: React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, SolidJS, Webpack, Vite
- Design collaboration: Figma (components, constraints, tokens)
- Data integration: REST APIs, JSON, error handling, caching, pagination
