Creative Lead (Hands-On Creative Director Track)

About the Role
We're seeking a Creative Lead to lead brand vision, elevate visual identity, and build a scalable creative foundation across our portfolio. This is an opportunity to take ownership of multiple brands, refresh an established one, and help launch new product lines from the ground up. This role is perfect for a Senior Designer with an established history of design experience looking to make the next step in their career.
What You’ll Do
- Lead creative direction and brand identity for JK Tools and all product lines, including visual identity, packaging, website creative, and digital presence.
- Develop and maintain usable brand guidelines (visual + verbal) to ensure consistency across websites, marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Zoro), packaging, ads, and partner channels.
- Execute and refine creative assets directly, making small design tweaks, packaging updates, imagery adjustments, and production-ready edits when needed.
- Manage, mentor, and expand creative talent, including designers, photographers, and video editors; identify and onboard new contractors as the brand portfolio grows.
- Build and optimize creative workflows (briefing → review → approval) to improve output quality, reduce revision cycles, and create predictable production timelines.
- Strengthen brand storytelling and voice across product pages, packaging text, advertising, social captions, and marketing campaigns.
Who You Are
- 6+ years of experience in creative direction, brand design, or similar roles within eCommerce, retail, or consumer products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brand identity, packaging, digital design, and multi-channel creative.
- Ability to both direct and execute—comfortable shaping high-level concepts and making hands-on refinements.
- Experience managing designers, photographers, video editors, and creative contractors.
- Familiarity with marketplace creative requirements (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Zoro).
- Strong sense of brand voice, copy clarity, and consumer-focused storytelling.
- Excellent organizational skills and experience establishing structured creative workflows.
- Bonus: Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, ClickUp, or product photography direction.
