Job Description
Director. Product Management
100% Remote
Seeking a Director of Product who can turn bold vision into real outcomes. Reporting directly to the VP of Product, this leader will be responsible for operationalizing our product strategy—translating high-level direction into clear priorities, actionable plans, and high-impact delivery.
This role is for someone who can bridge strategy with execution: someone who understands the “why,” translates it into the “what,” and leads teams to deliver the “how.” The Director of Product will work closely with engineering, design, analytics, marketing, and other internal partners to build experiences that deepen acquisition, re-engagement, and retention across our entire ecosystem.
You’ll help shape and drive the product roadmap, ensuring that every initiative aligns with our broader goals and delivers meaningful value to our members and the public. You’ll mentor product managers, strengthen processes, and ensure our teams have the clarity, structure, and support they need to execute at a high level.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Alignment
- Partner with the VP of Product to bring the long-term vision to life through a clear, structured, and prioritized roadmap.
- Translate strategic intent into actionable plans, balancing innovation with scalability, feasibility, and user impact.
- Ensure alignment across executive leadership and cross-functional partners by communicating clear narratives, data-driven rationale, and expected outcomes.
Execution & Delivery
- Own end-to-end execution of high-priority initiatives, ensuring high-quality delivery across web, mobile, email, and emerging channels.
- Drive disciplined product development practices—roadmapping, requirements, sprint planning, QA, release management, and post-launch measurement.
- Foster tight cross-functional collaboration to ensure engineering, design, marketing, and analytics operate in lockstep.
User & Market Insight
- Ground product decisions in user research, behavioral data, experimentation, and market trends.
- Challenge assumptions and promote curiosity, ensuring we build solutions that genuinely move the needle for members.
- Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into product opportunities and measurable improvements.
Team Leadership
- Manage, coach, and develop product managers, building confidence, judgment, and strategic thinking skills.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, agility, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate team capacity, adjust workloads, and identify opportunities for role clarity, reorganization, or team expansion.
Operational Excellence
- Improve processes that increase team efficiency, predictability, and quality.
- Introduce systems and structures that help the product organization scale effectively.
- Ensure clear prioritization, resource allocation, and risk identification to keep initiatives on track.
Qualifications
- 10+ years leading cross-functional product teams from concept through launch, ideally in consumer-facing or member-focused tech environments.
- 4+ years managing and growing product managers or multi-disciplinary product teams.
- Strong experience operationalizing executive-level product strategies and translating ambiguous direction into structured execution plans.
- Proven ability to drive measurable growth through technology and product improvements.
- History of building strong partnerships across engineering, design, analytics, marketing, and operations.
- Advanced collaborative problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize diverse perspectives into clear product solutions.
- Deep experience making data-informed decisions, interpreting insights, and optimizing products through experimentation.
- Exceptional communication skills—able to clarify complexity, break down challenges, and rally teams around a shared plan.
- Highly skilled in organizational problem-solving, process design, and operational efficiency.
- Known for building high-performing, accountable product teams rooted in trust, coaching, and continuous learning.
