The Role

As a Product Owner (PO), you’ll take a central role in shaping product direction and ensuring that value-driven outcomes are delivered to our clients. You will work closely with stakeholders and the development team to define product vision, manage the backlog, and provide clear priorities. Your leadership will guide the squad in aligning technical development with business objectives, creating a product that effectively meets customer needs.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Define product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with overall company values and client expectations.
  • Manage the product backlog, prioritizing features and enhancements based on stakeholder input and market analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, engineers, and data specialists to translate client requirements into user stories and actionable tasks.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders to gather feedback, clarify functionalities, and ensure transparency throughout the development process.
  • Lead sprint planning, review, and retrospective sessions to maximize team engagement and performance.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions about product features, testing new ideas through rapid prototyping and feedback loops.
  • Facilitate communication between business units and technical teams to ensure a clear understanding of expectations and project deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in agile software development, preferably within the financial services or insurance sectors.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing product backlogs and prioritizing features based on business value.
  • Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions and champion user-centric product design.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana).
  • Knowledge of UX/UI principles to enhance user experiences.
  • Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar.
