Location: Onsite in Torrance, CA (LA COUNTY)

Pay Range: $72.00 – $79.00 per hour (based on experience and internal equity)

Schedule: Full-time, long-term contract

Work Type: 100% Onsite

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Technical Lead to oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of a modern Customer Data Platform (CDP).


The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in data engineering, SaaS product development, and AWS-based architectures, coupled with strong leadership skills.

This position will define the CDP’s technical vision, ensure scalable and secure data solutions, and mentor a team of engineers to deliver best-in-class data management and analytics capabilities.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of a scalable, secure, and high-performance CDP SaaS product.
  • Architect end-to-end data solutions integrating multiple data sources, APIs, and third-party systems.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analytics.
  • Build and automate ETL pipelines and workflows using Digdag, Treasure Data, and AWS services.
  • Implement data quality controls, logging, and alerting across workflows.
  • Utilize AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, and Athena to enhance scalability and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and enterprise data security standards.
  • Design and support real-time and batch data processing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data, Product, and Engineering) to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Lead code reviews, promote DevOps best practices, and oversee CI/CD implementation.
  • Mentor team members and cultivate a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Monitor performance, optimize cost efficiency, and continuously improve platform reliability.



Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Proven experience designing and scaling SaaS platforms, ideally in customer data or martech environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, Presto, and Hive.
  • Expert in SQL for complex queries, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Deep understanding of ETL pipelines, data orchestration, and workflow automation.
  • Experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda).
  • Familiarity with Treasure Data and Digdag is a strong plus.
  • Solid grasp of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Knowledge of Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and integrations with CRM or marketing tools.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and Agile project delivery experience.



Desired / Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Big Data ecosystems and real-time streaming frameworks.
  • Prior work in Big 4 consulting or large enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience optimizing workflow orchestration for large-scale data systems.
  • Background in data analytics or AI-driven personalization.
  • Stable, progressive career track with a record of team leadership and mentorship.
