Job Description
We are Assembly Four, a fast growing, purpose-driven technology company dedicated to fostering positive change within the sex work, human rights, LGBTQIA+, and intersecting communities.
We operate on the belief that impact is as important as profit, and work in collaboration with sex workers from around the globe to develop products and services that empower them to thrive, not just survive.
Everyone should have the autonomy to make decisions about their bodies and sexual lives without fear of violence or discrimination. This is a fundamental human right – and one that sex workers are still fighting for.
If you're eager to join a remote-first team with diverse representation from sex worker, neurodivergent, disabled, and LGBTQIA+ communities, committed to advancing sex worker autonomy and liberation through advocacy and innovative products, read on.
What you’ll do as a Head of Marketing within our Marketing team:
- Drive the Marketing strategy for Assembly Four, and its associated products and services.
- Build, mentor and lead a highly engaged, high performing Marketing team. Partner with the Executive of Customer to determine hiring plans.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across Product, Engineering and Customer Support functions.
- Leverage research, insights and data to build a comprehensive understanding of Sex Worker segments and communities globally.
- Use associated insights to inform Segmentation, Price, Product and Positioning decisions.
- Be a driving force behind proliferating that understanding across the organisation, promoting a culture of market orientation.
- Ensure that the genuine needs of the Worker community are at the heart of everything we do.
- Leverage your market understanding to help define and refine our Brand.
Training and required coverage:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, or MBA highly regarded.
About you:
- You have 10+ years of Marketing experience, ideally in fast-paced technology companies where global communities play a central role.
- At least 5 of these years experience should be in leading teams.
- You possess both commercial acumen and human empathy, with the ability to balance both heart and mind in your decision making. You know what you know, curious about what you don’t, and you’re prepared to have your assumptions challenged.
- You know enough to be dangerous across a broad range of Digital Marketing disciplines - beyond just Paid Acquisition. Your understanding extends to Email Marketing, CRM, Content Marketing, SEO, Social Media, and Product Marketing - just to name a few.
- Experience in setting, tracking and managing budgets.
- An aptitude in mining data for insights to inform your decision making. You know what to look for, and what are the right questions to ask.
- You can tailor your communication to different audiences, both in person and in writing. You can engage with seasoned executives just as easily as with junior staff.
- A curious mind, with the ability to navigate parameters and problem solve - we work in an industry with a unique set of restrictions, navigating them requires both flexibility and creativity.
- You are proactive, with a focus on delivering, and you can put the frameworks in place for your team to do the same.
In an ideal world, you would also have:
- Previous experience engaging with and a willingness to learn about marginalised communities, particularly sex workers, neurodivergent individuals, and people with disability.
- Experience in or a strong understanding of sex work.
- Experience working in both startup environments and fully remote work settings.

- Flexible work: Enjoy a 4-day (32-hour) work week at 100% pay, plus time in lieu for additional hours worked.
